Car Porter

A Car Porter helps keep the cars and lot of an auto dealership clean and orderly. They move the vehicles around as needed to rotate inventory. Sometimes they need to take vehicles to the garage area or drive them to a customer so they can go on a test drive. Car Porters keep the vehicles in good condition with light cleaning and maintenance to make them more appealing to customers. If they notice something is wrong with a vehicle, they report it to the manager. They also make sure the parking lot is safe and clean to make a positive impression on customers. Car Porters often follow the instruction of salespeople, mechanics and other dealership employees to help them out with getting vehicles to the right locations as needed. Their purpose is to help sell vehicles and run the dealership smoothly by assisting various departments as needed.
