Car Wash Attendant

A Car Wash Attendant completes customer service and cleaning tasks at a car wash facility. They work at both self-serve and automatic car washes. When customers arrive, they typically greet them and answer questions they have. The Car Wash Attendant might explain how the facility works and talk about the various services available to help the customer choose. Specific duties might vary depending on the type of car wash, but the Attendant typically helps align the vehicle properly in an automatic car wash to avoid contact with the equipment. They monitor the equipment to ensure it functions properly throughout the washing process. Depending on the selected service, the Car Wash Attendant might complete some of the cleaning tasks by hand. This includes pre-washing the vehicle, scrubbing the tires, cleaning the interior and applying wax. They may also dry off the vehicle at the completion of the wash cycle. If the customer has a complaint or an issue arises, the Car Wash Attendant handles it or escalates it to a supervisor.
